Jeremiah Scott

Jeremiah Scott is a Grammy nominated producer, engineer, mixer, and guitarist known for his work in the modern metal and hard rock scenes. With nearly two decades of experience on stage and behind the board, Jeremiah has developed a distinct sonic identity that blends aggression, clarity, and musicality. His work captures the emotional intensity of heavy music while delivering polished, professional productions that translate across all listening environments.

Jeremiah first made his mark as guitarist for Demon Hunter, one of the most respected names in modern melodic metal. His time in the band gave him a front row seat to the recording process and ignited his passion for audio engineering and production. Over time, he transitioned full time into the studio, applying the same discipline and creative instinct that defined his performances to his work behind the console.

As a producer and mixer, Jeremiah has worked with a wide range of artists, including Demon Hunter, Living Sacrifice, Judas Priest, Accept, Elegant Weapons, The Showdown, Becoming the Archetype, and more. He has also served as an assistant to Andy Sneap on several records, gaining invaluable experience alongside one of metal’s most influential producers. Known for his punchy drum tones, thick guitars, and meticulous attention to detail, Jeremiah consistently delivers mixes that feel massive and dynamic.

Beyond mixing and production, Jeremiah brings unique versatility to his projects. He has personally designed and built his own studio, as well as several others, giving him an intimate understanding of acoustics and workflow. For nearly a decade, he toured as a front of house engineer, mixing live sound for Black Veil Brides at some of the world’s biggest festivals. This experience sharpened his ability to craft mixes that translate seamlessly from the studio to the stage.

Jeremiah often takes on multiple roles in the studio; producer, engineer, and mixer, ensuring a cohesive vision from pre production to final master. His background as a songwriter and performer gives him deep insight into song structure and dynamics, helping artists shape arrangements that maximize emotional impact.

In addition to his studio work, Jeremiah continues to perform and record with Demon Hunter, keeping him closely connected to the evolving landscape of heavy music. His dual perspective as both musician and producer informs everything he does, allowing him to create records that resonate with listeners and work in a live setting.

As an instructor for Nail the Mix, Jeremiah shares his hard earned insights with the next generation of producers and engineers.
